BULLET RACING TEAM'S 1997 RACE SEASON
TO BENEFIT LOCAL CHILDREN'S CHARITIES
Bullet Racing Team, a Formula Pro Series race team announced today that the beneficiaries of its Children's Charities Promotion are Olive Crest Homes & Services for Abused Children and Orangewood Children's Foundation. The team is now seeking corporate sponsors who wish to participate in the fastest growing segment of racing in the country. The charities will receive up to 50% of the sponsoring donor's contribution as well as car sponsorship and promotional benefits. Team owner Taylor Fletcher was quoted as saying, "We are very excited to launch this unique donor/sponsor program to help two of the best Children's Charities in the country." Bullet Racing/OC Children's Charities racing events, provides fund raising opportunities and raises awareness and support for these two excellent children's charities. Corporate donor/sponsor's receive all of the marketing and exposure benefits of formula racing sponsorship. "We call it a double bang for your buck." says Taylor Fletcher. Bullet Racing Team's open wheel race car runs in the Formula Mazda Pro Series circuit with races throughout the Western U.S. from February through September.
Olive Crest Homes & Services for Abused Children is a non-profit organization which provides a healthy, safe and loving home environment to over 500 at-risk children each year. Olive Crest is a leader in the prevention and treatment of child abuse, and currently operates more than 20 residential group homes, 175 foster homes, and a non public school in Orange and Los Angeles Counties and the Inland Empire. In response to the announcement, Olive Crest President and Founder Dr. Don Verleur stated, "We are hopeful that the program will not only help raise support for the children and families in our care, but also help in promoting the awareness of child abuse in our community."
The Orangewood Children's Foundation is a private organization dedicated to serving children who enter the Orange County social service system from birth to 18 years and beyond.
The foundation provides funds to maintain a home-like environment for the more than 3,000 children who pass through the Orangewood Children's Home every year. Orangewood is Orange County's emergency shelter for abandoned, abused, and neglected children. In addition, the foundation runs programs to help children who have grown up in the social service system mature and develop into successful, independent adults.
