BULLET RACING TEAM DRIVER, TAYLOR FLETCHER, SLASHES TRACK RECORDS AT
WILLOWSPRINGS INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY AND BUTTONWILLOW RACEWAY IN SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA.
Bullet Racing Team is pleased to announce that team driver, Taylor Fletcher, broke the Formula Mazda track record at Buttonwillow Raceway on May 23, 1998, as well as the track record at Willowsprings on February 22, 1998. These events were Sports Car Club of America sanctioned national and regional events. Taylor Fletcher was quoted as saying, "We have really made some headway with regard to getting the car set up just right for both these tracks. I can't speak highly enough about the ongoing effort of crew chief, Gary Funkhouser, as well as all of the team members. After over two years of diligently working to get the proper set-ups for these tracks, we are finally making a lot of headway. I look forward to more track records as the team gets our new 1998 chassis dialed in." Finishing positions for these two race events were second and third respectively. Both track records however were short lived as superior track conditions came about on the next day, and these standing track records were broken once again. Crew chief, Gary Funkhouser, said, "We'll just have to go after it again and put a greater margin in place next time so that our track record will hold." Bullet Racing Team car #27 runs the Formula Pro Mazda Series runs from February through November and includes a 15-race schedule in California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada. Taylor Fletcher is the team owner and driver. A local entrepreneur, he serves as CEO of Global Telemanagement, Inc., a San Juan Capistrano, California, software company and also Director of Prolux Corporation of San Juan Capistrano, which manufactures and designs LCD projectors and giant screen televisions.
