SAN CLEMENTE ,CALIFORNIA DRIVER QUALIFIES THREE-HUNDREDTHS OF A SECOND OFF
POLE POSITION AT PRO RACE IN PIKE'S PEAK, COLORADO.
Bullet Racing Team announced today that team driver, Taylor Fletcher, qualified three-hundredths of a second off pole position and finished sixth overall in the Formula Mazda Pro Series event held this past weekend at Pike's Peak, Colorado. The one-mile oval track is one of the fastest in the country, and average speeds were nearing the 150 mph mark as Fletcher completed laps in the 27-second range. The race will be re-televised on ESPN2 on July 28 at 3:30 P.M. Pacific Standard Time. Driver Taylor Fletcher was quoted as saying, "We were headed for the podium about three quarters of the way through the race when we got caught up in lapped traffic after having worked up to fourth position. We then passed the next two cars only to have to surrender these two positions when the track went to a yellow flag on the same lap." Oval rules dictate that, in the event of a yellow flag on any given lap, the race order reverts back to the previous scored position on the last green flag lap. Bullet Racing reportedly was pleased with the results as well as being provided an opportunity to promote their children's charities sponsor program in the State of Colorado. Bullet Racing Team car #27 runs the Formula Pro Mazda Series runs from February through November and includes a 15-race schedule in California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada. Taylor Fletcher is the team owner and driver. A local entrepreneur, he serves as CEO of Global Telemanagement, Inc., a San Juan Capistrano, California, software company and also Director of Prolux Corporation of San Juan Capistrano, which manufactures and designs LCD projectors and giant screen televisions. Bullet Racing Team promotes the children's charities of Olive Crest Homes and Services for Abused Children through its racing program. Details of this program can be seen at the Bullet Racing Team web page at http://www.Sonic.net/bullet. For more information on donor sponsorship and how you can help children and families in need, please contact Taylor Fletcher at 949-240-4796 or Julie Seaborn at Olive Crest at 714-543-5437. |
