12/6/99 - San Clemente, CA | PRO FORMULA MAZDA DRIVER TAYLOR FLETCHER FINISHES FIRST IN POINTS FOR
THE 1999 SPRCS FORMULA MAZDA SERIES San Clemente, California - December 6, 1999 Taylor Fletcher and the Southern California based Bullet Racing Team announced that they had first in points in the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) sanctioned Southern Pacific Regional Championship Series for Formula Mazda. The team kicked off the season with an early win in February of this year at Willow Springs Raceway in Rosemond, California and was able to maintain a lead in the series throughout the year. The SPRCS Series encompasses three states in the Western U.S. including California, Arizona, and Nevada. Additionally, Fletcher finished third overall in the SCCA regional championship series. Fletcher only participated in approximately half of the regional races that were available throughout the season due to other racing obligations and race date conflicts. Driver Taylor Fletcher was quoted as saying, "It was a good season, overall, even though the team struggled with some budgetary constraints. We were also able to achieve a number of podium finishes as well as placing first place in SCCA races as well as in races with the USAC Formula Russell Championship in Northern California. The team continues to plan for its 2000 Series with the hope of running more national races in the National Formula Mazda Series. The team has also been invited to race in the Latin America ILP Indy Car Series as well as the American Indy Car Series in the United States. The team is seeking additional associate sponsors or a large corporate sponsor to facilitate their efforts with regard to the year 2000 schedule". Bullet Racing Team driver Taylor Fletcher runs car #27 in the Formula Pro Mazda Series which runs from February through November and includes a 15-race schedule in California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada. The team is made up of a volunteer crew of dedicated Southern California racing enthusiasts that bring a significant amount of skill and technical expertise to the team. Taylor Fletcher is the team driver and co-owner. A local entrepreneur, he serves as CEO of Global Telemanagement, Inc., a San Juan Capistrano, California, software company. Bullet Racing Team promotes the childrens charities of Olive Crest Homes and Services for Abused Children and Orangewood through its racing program.
