3/30/99 - San Clemente, CA PRO FORMULA MAZDA DRIVER TAYLOR FLETCHER TAKES THIRD PLACE AT BUTTONWILLOW INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

San Clemente, California - March 30, 1999

Bullet Racing Team driver Taylor Fletcher placed third in Round Two of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) race at Buttonwillow International Raceway in Central California. The actual race was held Sunday, March 21, on the 2.85-mile road course near Bakersfield. The field had approximately 25 competitors which made for an interesting race around the twisting and winding turns that Buttonwillow Raceway has to offer. A light mist began to fall as the race got underway which added an additional level of excitement as a number of cars spun off the track. "We had a good race going until the light rain began to fall, and then we had our work cut out for us just trying to keep the car on the track," said Taylor Fletcher. "At one point going into Turn 2, we got the car sideways and lost a few positions. However, we were able to get most of it back by the end of the race. We had been fighting a bad push all weekend and had it not been for this, I believe we would have placed better than we did. Either way, it was a great weekend for the Olive Crest Foundation / OilExtreme car, and the team is to be commended."

The next event is to be held at Laguna Seca Raceway before going on to the one-mile Phoenix oval in May. Bullet Racing Team driver Taylor Fletcher runs car #27 in the Formula Pro Mazda Series which runs from February through November and includes a 15-race schedule in California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada. The team is made up of an all-volunteer crew of dedicated Southern California racing enthusiasts that bring a significant amount of skill and technical expertise to the team. Taylor Fletcher is the team driver and co-owner. A local entrepreneur, he serves as CEO of Global Telemanagement, Inc., a San Juan Capistrano, California, software company.
